COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There were a handful of weather related accidents in the area, but most of Branch County yesterday missed out on the heavier lake-effect snow bands that swirled around Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana, including Steuben County, where Wednesday afternoon there was a multi-vehicle wreck on southbound I-69 near Ashley where snow showers and blowing snow created occasional white out conditions. There were a handful of vehicles involved, making it not nearly as bad as the pileup in the same area last Saturday, when 15 vehicles collided with 11 injuries reported.
In Branch County yesterday, the Central Dispatch log listed 5 property damage accidents and 5 slide-offs. No injury crashes were reported by any of the county’s law enforcement agencies.
