COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The economic recovery is a slow process, especially for those in need in our community. It’s a generous sense of community that is vital for families with children and the elderly to get much needed food. The Food Bank of South Central Michigan is an efficient, practical and always there when needed, and PS Food Mart Stores (Folk Oil) are very proud to offer assistance to help locally, by getting food to those who need it in our community.
Local food banks are still searching to try to replace resources so parents can continue to feed their children and the elderly will not go without. PS Food Mart Stores (your local CITGO Marketer) in Coldwater, Hillsdale, Reading and Clayton, as well as other locations in Michigan, and their generous and creative employees are kicking off the 6th annual “Fight Hunger, Give Hope” campaign.
This year’s efforts run from March 2nd to the 15th. PS Food Mart Charities will provide generous financial support raised in this effort to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan which services the Hillsdale and Branch County areas, along with several food pantries in communities where PS Food Mart operates. Money donated provides over a half million meals through thes local food banks and pantries. The enthusiasm of the PS Food Mart employees, and their energy and effort in this campaign, along with customer generosity, makes this a successful promotion.
Customers will once again be asked to ”tear a square” and make a $1 or $5 donation to the “Fight Hunger Give Hope” campaign. Customers can also participate in other fundraising efforts sponsored by PS Food Mart employees. The need for food is a year-round effort of the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. The March 2-15 campaign is also another way for customers to help their local communities in Hillsdale, Coldwater, Reading and Clayton where PS Food Mart Stores are located. Customers are always the key in this worthwhile campaign and PS Food Mart appreciates every one.
