COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Fans of fresh fruit and veggies are excited after the Coldwater City Council this week gave permission for a Farmers Market to operate this summer on every Saturday downtown in the Southwest Four Corners Park from the end of June to the end of August. The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce helped organize the project and Courtney Dirschell told the council they’re hoping initially to have at least ten vendors on hand and expanding to up to three times that amount.
According to Dirschell, there will be items at the marketplace other than produce with a percentage of people displaying crafts. There also will organic practices featured with the vendors to bring quality control to the farm products on sale.
The Farmers Market will operate from 9 am to 1 pm on ten Saturdays this summer.
