BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Veterans from Branch County and across the region who use the Battle Creek VA Medical Center will be benefiting from a HUD grant of $50,000 going to the facility. The Supportive Housing program is a joint venture of the US Housing and Urban Development and Veterans Affairs departments.
In total it has awarded more than $235,000 to Michigan to provide assistance for ending veterans’ homelessness. The money will be used as vouchers with local housing agencies.
