BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Tuesday night in Mickey Mantle Summer League baseball, Coldwater split a doubleheader on the road against the Hitters Edge of Battle Creek in a pair of six inning games at C.O. Brown Stadium. Coldwater dropped the opener 4-3 before taking the nightcap 7-5. In the first game, Cameron Miller was the losing pitcher. Austin Butler had a double and a single and 2 RBI’s while Caleb Letendre and Bryce Barringer had two singles apiece.
In game two, Alex Everett was the winning pitcher while Barringer relieved to start the fifth and tossed 2 scoreless innings to earn the save with no hits or walks allowed. On offense, Collin Torrey had a double and a single and 2 RBI’s while Sean Printke added two singles and an RBI.
Coldwater’s record on the season is now 17-4 and the Redbirds next action is tomorrow at Jonesville.
