COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After being rained out last Saturday, downtown Coldwater will begin hosting The Corner Farmers’ Market this Saturday, July 4. The Market will be held from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. at the Four Corners Park and will run every Saturday through the end of August. The market, which is based on organic practices by the vendors, will combine a mix of fruit and vegetable items as the summer progresses, along with handmade items.
“We are looking for this to be a market of high quality, the committee understands it might take some time to build but those who craft and grow with organic principles are very proud of their products,” said Christian Arnold of Pure Earth. “We are looking to increase access of healthy food for our community
Other activities throughout the market will be live music, kids activities, and educational opportunities regarding recycling, composting, canning and more.
Vendors spots are available anytime throughout the summer. Vendors can choose to attend one time, a 4 week period, or the full-season. The Farmers’ Market Committee encourages the use of local, organically grown products or for the farm to use organic practices with pesticide-free and herbicide-free produce.
