BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Reports in May said that security staff at FireKeepers Casino near Battle Creek suspected that their system had been hacked. Now casino officials are confirming it, saying that it appears that 85,000 transactions from September 2014 to April 2015 may have been exposed and at least one server with the information of employees, certain customers and dependents was breached.
FireKeepers officials say they have since secured their systems and are offering free credit monitoring for customers. They say they have no evidence that any of the information has been misused.
