COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In Branch County high school sports, the 2015 fall season schedule starts this week beginning on Wednesday with Coldwater girl’s golf at the Northwest Invitational and Bronson boys tennis at Battle Creek Central. Bronson has another tennis match Thursday at home against Pennfield. Coldwater’s second golf match is Friday at the Western Invitational.
Coldwater’s boys tennis season begins on Friday at the Vicksburg Invitational. Also on Friday, the Quincy boys soccer season gets underway with a match at Comstock. Then on Saturday, the Coldwater varsity boys soccer season begins with games against Mattawan and Portage Northern in the Justin Bailey Memorial Tournament hosted by Portage Central. And the varsity volleyball season tips off Saturday with Coldwater, Quincy, and Union City at Battle Creek St. Philip for the Cereal City Classic.
The second week of high school football practice starts today with a number of schools tuning up for the season with scrimmages this week. The varsity football schedule for Branch County teams begins on Friday, August 28.
