WASHINGTON, DC (WTVB) – The Bishop of the nine county Diocese of Kalamazoo, which includes Branch County, will be part of the group greeting Pope Francis when he arrives at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington D.C. Tuesday, as part of a three city northeast tour. Paul Bradley says he was selected to be one of the few bishops to welcome the Pope to America because of his affiliation with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Bradley says he won’t be granted any personal time with the Pope, hopes to shake his hand as the bishops will be led in prayer by the world leader of the Catholic Church.
