UECU will celebrate the 2016 New Year with a new name and a new legacy. UECU is very proud of their heritage, and remains committed to the local educational community. Over the years, the Credit Union has continued to thrive and prosper thanks to its valued members. They are now community chartered, with membership open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school within nine counties in Southwest Michigan. Because of this positive change, UECU has recognized an apparent need to adopt a new name that more accurately reflects and identifies with the members and communities they serve as a whole.
