COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities is holding its annual hazardous waste collection today from 9am until 2pm at the BPU Service Building at Waterworks Park, off Sprague Street. Small appliances, aerosol cans, outdated prescription and over-the-counter drugs, old batteries, and used oil and antifreeze are among the items being collected for safe disposal. Propane tanks and industrial waste products are among the items that won’t be accepted. For this year’s collection, electronic items will not be taken; the BPU points out that Biz-Aid on Darling Drive will accept them. A complete list of acceptable and unacceptable items, along with a traffic flow map that will be employed for the duration of the collection period. can be found at coldwater.org.
