COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A pedestrian was killed last night in an accident at the corner of US-12 and Michigan Avenue on Coldwater’s east side. Coldwater Police tell us that the unnamed 75-year-old man from Marshall was crossing US-12 on foot when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 72-year-old woman from Coldwater at around 7:45pm. The man was pronounced dead around 10 minutes later despite CPR being performed on the victim by off-duty medical personnel and additional lifesaving efforts by Coldwater police officers and firefighters and Lifecare Ambulance personnel upon arrival at the scene. The accident remains under investigation; witnesses are asked to call Sergeant David Crilly or Officer Brian Wohlheter at Coldwater Public Safety at 517-278-4525.
