COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – You can’t say we didn’t warn you. Those words aren’t on the letter the City of Coldwater mailed out at the end of December to a number of business and residential property owners. However, it’s a clear message that City officials want it known that this coming summer’s street construction improvement projects will be every bit as busy or even more so than the Fall 2015 road and sewer work schedule that only finished up last month.
City residents who will be impacted by the work are encouraged to attend an open house next Tuesday January 12 at city hall. There will be two sessions. The opening presentation from 5:30-6:30 p.m. will review the upcoming Marshall Street Improvement project tied to the Clemens Food Group sanitary sewer force main infrastructure project. The City is also proposing to convert Marshall Street from four lanes to 3 lanes with a dedicated turn lane designed to improve safety and traffic flow.
The second session is from 7:00- 8:00 p.m. and will focus on related repairs and reconstruction on West Pierce Street, North Hanchett, Harrison, and North Fremont Street.
