BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – There will be no Michigan Grassroots Powwow for conservative activists this year. According to MIRS News, the organizer of last year’s event, beleaguered former State Representative Cindy Gamrat of Plainwell, is not interested in mounting a 2016 event. An event called “Battle Cry Michigan” is attempting to fill the void for Tea Party activists. The first of what organizers hope will be several Battle Cry events is scheduled for January 29 and 30 at FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek.
