COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – What started out as a prediction of up to 6 inches of snow along with a Winter Weather Watch for Branch County Saturday night and Sunday morning quickly faded as the evening went on, with Branch County only receiving 1-2 inches overnight.
The Winter Weather Watch for winter storm Hada was downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory during the afternoon Saturday, then eventually cancelled by the National Weather Service. Because of the warm temperatures during the day, it took longer than expected for the rain to turn to snow, keeping the snowfall amounts lower than originally predicted across all of Michigan.
Snow showers and windy conditions are expected across the area through Monday, but there are no warnings or advisories in effect.
