COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -In Branch County high school sports, there were no varsity events on the schedule yesterday and tonight’s boys and girls basketball games could be postponed because of the hazardous winter weather conditions that are expected to last through tomorrow.
Coming up tonight, weather permitting, it’s Coldwater vs. Pennfield in basketball with the boys playing at Pennfield and the girls in Coldwater. We plan to have the boys on the radio with our live coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m.with the varsity tip-off set for 7 p.m. following the JV contest. The girls games in Coldwater are on the same timeline with the freshman starting out at 4 p.m., the Junior Varsity at 5:30 p.m. and the Varsity at 7 p.m.
Elsewhere tonight, in boys and girls hoops, it’s Bronson against Comstock with the girls playing in Bronson and the boys at Comstock. On the girls side only, Quincy hosts Athens and Union City is at home against Reading.
