COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In Branch County high school sports, the hazardous winter weather conditions forced yesterday’s events to be either postponed or cancelled with some of the basketball games rescheduled for later this month. That includes Coldwater’s contests last night with Pennfield now set for Monday, January 25 with the boys at Pennfield and the girls playing in Coldwater.
Tonight in high school sports, in wrestling, it’s a full slate with Coldwater on the road for an Interstate Eight Quad at Pennfield while in the Big 8, Quincy is at Homer and Union City at Springport. And Bronson is hosting a BCS Quad.
In gymnastics, it’s Coldwater at Jackson Lumen Christi. And in bowling, it’s Coldwater on the road against Jackson Northwest at Airport Lanes while Bronson is at Comstock for their match at Eastland Bowl.
The first Associated Press weekly boys and girls basketball polls of the season were released on Tuesday but no teams from Branch County were ranked or made honorable mention.
