LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Food and agriculture businesses from across Michigan that are interested in increasing their international sales in new or existing markets can learn about the opportunities and resources available by attending the “Expanding Your Exports” seminar. The seminar hosted by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development International Marketing Program and the Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan, will take place on Tuesday, February 9 at the Henry Center in Lansing, MI, from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
It is essential for a company looking to grow their business internationally to find the right market and buyer for their product and to formulate a viable marketing plan. The “Expanding Your Exports” seminar will provide companies with invaluable information and resources to determine export opportunities and to establish a long-term international business plan.
The seminar includes export education in the areas of: opportunities and challenges for export growth, identifying and entering new export markets, and export financing. Speakers include Matt Tripodi of Euromonitor International and Scott Hibbard of Comerica Bank. The seminar will also feature the 2015 Ag Exporter of the Year, Star of the West Milling Company, as the keynote lunch speaker.
