COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Fire Department has gotten a recall notice from Panasonic for Lithiumion Laptop Battery Packs due to a fire hazard.
Officials say conductive foreign material was mixed into the battery cells during manufacturing which poses a fire risk.
If your laptop uses this type of battery, stop using the computer, power off the device and remove the battery pack.
You should then contact Panasonic for a free replacement battery pack.
