BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – A Battle Creek man is among those injured in the terrorist attacks on Brussels. Oakland University basketball coach Greg Kampe says one of his former players, Sebastien Bellin, suffered injuries to his legs.
Bellin was about 100 yards from one of the blasts at the airport, checking in for a flight back to the U.S. Kampe says Bellin underwent surgery yesterday on his legs and has at least one more to go to remove more shrapnel from his hip.
Kampe says the OU basketball program is praying for Bellin, who starred during the team’s Mid-Continent Conference championship season in 1999-2000.
