COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Education extended Superintendent Terry Boguth’s contract by three years on a 6-0 vote Monday evening. Boguth will also stay on as the district’s Chief Financial Officer through the end of the 2016-2017 school year. Her superintendents contract now runs through June of 2019.
Both of the board actions came after a half hour executive session.
Boguth was given a one year Superintendents contract at the start of this school year after Dr Tina Kerr left to take a job with the Michigan Association of School Administrators.
In other business, the board approved the 2016-2017 school year calendar. Boguth said the early release on Friday will remain in place for now but that could change depending on what other districts decide to do about their early releases.
The board also approved a two year cooperative swim agreement with Quincy Community Schools which will allow Quincy students to be part of the Coldwater High School swim teams.
A one year contract extension with Chartwell’s for food service management was also approved.
