MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – A veteran is in custody in Calhoun County after he allegedly threatened a woman with a gun in a Marshall Township home early Tuesday morning.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the address on 15-1/2 Mile Road at about 4:35 a.m. on a report of an intoxicated man with a gun threatening people.
The 25-year-old woman who had apparently gotten into an argument with the 32-year-old former soldier from Fort Campbell, Kentucky managed to escape.
She told the deputies that the man held a gun to her chest and threatened to shoot her.
He barricaded himself in the home, but was talked into surrendering after about 20 minutes.
A search of the home and his motel room turned up a number of weapons. The suspects name has not been released. He is being held for felonious assault and on gun felonies.
