A Burr Oak couple who are suspects in last Tuesday’s robbery of the Century Bank and Trust branch in Quincy have been captured in Hamilton County, Ohio near Cincinnati.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office posted on their Facebook page Monday morning that 32-year-old John T. Morgan and his 29-year-old girlfriend Nickole Collins were taken into custody early Monday morning by Ohio authorities after a traffic stop. They are awaiting extradition back to Branch County.
Warrants for the couple were issued by the Branch County Prosecutors Office last Wednesday.
Morgan is wanted on three counts of bank robbery, three counts of unarmed robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit bank robbery. Collins is also facing bank robbery and conspiracy to commit bank robbery charges.
Even though no weapon was reported during the Quincy robbery, police say both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio have been looking for the pair in connection with a rash of area robberies that have taken place in recent months.
