CONSTANTINE, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police are investigating a St. Joseph County hit and run accident.
They say two vehicles collided at U.S. 131 and Youngs Prairie Road near Constantine Wednesday afternoon at about 2:20pm.
Troopers from the White Pigeon post report a man pleaded with a woman from Middlebury, Indiana not to call 911 after his vehicle crashed into her car. When she placed the call anyway, he took off heading east towards Constantine.
The suspect vehicle was described as a tan SUV that should have damage on the right front corner.
The driver was described as a white male between 35 and 45 with an average build.
No injuries were reported. Anyone with information is asked to call the State Police post in Marshall at 269-558-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP.
