JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The best season start in Coldwater girls soccer history continuedWednesday night with a 3-0 victory at Jackson Northwest. The win improved the Lady Cardinals record to 5-1-4 overall and 2-1-1 in the Interstate 8 Conference.
Megan Hoath and Malorie Rzepka had first half goals, both assisted by Madison Marsh. Rzepka also scored in the second half, assisted by Hoath. Nadia Kiersey made 4 saves in goal as Coldwater outshot Northwest 12-10.
The Cardinals are off until Saturday, when they play at the Hanover Horton Invitational. The Coldwater JV team fell at Northwest 1-0.
—GIRLS SOFTBALL—
Bronson 10, Marshall 0 (1st game)Bronson 11, Marshall 0 (2nd game)
Bronson improved to 9-4 as they swept Marshall 10-0 and 11-0. Adyson Lasky and Allie Sikorski were the winning pitchers. Payton Robinson had three hits including a double and drove in two runs in the first game. Kaitlyn Czajkowski had three RBI’s in the nightcap while Chaselyn Preston had two doubles.
—BOYS TRACK—
Quincy 90, Springport 47; Quincy 93, Jonesville 43Quincy winners were Bryce Ruhl in the high jump and the long jump, Jonathan Purvis in the discus and shot put and Brandon Gary in the 3200. The Orioles also won the 800 and 400 relays.
—GIRLS TRACK—
Quincy 84, Springport 53; Quincy 88, Jonesville 49Quincy won all four relay races while won Kayla Hayes won the shot put.
