COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A restored World War I German Howitzer was unveiled on Friday afternoon in downtown Coldwater’s Northeast Corner park.
Assistant City Manager Keith Baker says the restored piece of military and local history was paid for by the City of Coldwater, the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary, the Branch County Historical Society and individual donations made to the Branch County Military Memorials Fund at the Branch County Community Foundation.
Baker says donations are now being collected to restore the Civil War limber and clean and repair the Civil War cannon.
