ALBION, MI (WTVB) – One of four suspects in a particularly violent home invasion in Albion is being held on $200,000 bond after leaving a telling clue behind at the scene of the crime.
Police say that David Tucker was among the robbers who burst into a home on Mechanic Street early Monday morning and demanded money. They allegedly assaulted three adults and terrified a 4-year-old child.
One adult had to be sent to the hospital with head injuries.
When they heard police heading their way, the suspects ducked out the back door.
Police say Tucker lost his shoe going over a fence. Later when they got a report of a man walking downtown who was missing a shoe, he was confronted and was arrested after a short chase.
They found a handgun discarded nearby. The three other suspects are being sought.
