COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals baseball team celebrated their 2016 season during a team banquet on Tuesday night. The Cardinals season was highlighted by 31 wins, a number one ranking in Division Two by the Michigan State Baseball Coaches Association, a co-championship in the Interstate 8 Conference and a fifth straight district championship.
Leading hitter Austin Krezminski was named the teams Most Valuable Player. Brandon Lewis was named Most Valuable Pitcher while Bryce Barringer earned the Most Valuable Defensive Player Award and the Mister Hustle Award. Andrew Richar was named the Most Improved Player.
