HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – A heated exchange between 7th District Republican Congressman Tim Walberg and the guest speaker for Monday night’s Hillsdale County Republican Party Lincoln Day dinner is making the social media rounds.
KrisAnne Hall bills herself on her web site as a constitutional attorney, author, speaker and radio host.
The post dinner argument centered around funding for the Environmental Protection Agency. Hall feels funding the EPA is immoral because the agency is not a constitutional authority.
But Walberg said Congress has the authority to fund anything they want to. He later said he would vote against funding if he disagreed with it.
The exchange went on for nearly five minutes before Walberg thanked Hall for coming. He then told her she had no right to say what she did without knowing his voting record which he says was the most conservative of the Michigan delegation. As Walberg walked away, Hall told him he had no right to fund the EPA.
The video was put up on YouTube and as of early Tuesday afternoon had gotten over 1,100 views.
