LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Some thieves made an unsuccessful attempt to steal a trailer early Tuesday morning in St. Joseph County.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says it appears the suspects broke the lock off a trailer hitch in the 57000 block of Holtom Road in Lockport Township.
They then headed south on Holtom Road before the trailer dislodged from the vehicle and went into a field. The suspects then fled the scene. The trailer was later recovered by deputies.
