COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Jeff Budd announced during Monday’s City Council meeting that SEKISUI Voltek is making a $20 million reinvestment over the next three years.
Company President Neil Beckhusen has announced that the plan will begin a phased transition in order to consolidate their operations into a single production facility in Coldwater. He feels this will position the company to be more competitive so that they can better serve their customers.
Budd says the company’s reinvestment will bring additional jobs and equipment to Coldwater.
In other business, Budd said work continues on the demolition of four homes that the city received through the tax foreclosure process. Homes at 43 Race Street and 124 Marshall Street have been demolished.
The City Council also approved Mayor Tom Kramer’s appointment of Andrea Pavlov to the Downtown Development Authority.
