COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Jeff Budd says the city has gotten an A+ with a stable outlook bond rating from S&P Global.
In his report to the City Council for Monday’s meeting, Budd says this bond rating reflects the positive and consistent management of the water and wastewater utility and will assist in getting a better interest rate when the bonds are sold in the next month.
Bonds are being issued so that improvements can be made to Coldwater’s water supply and wastewater system.
Projects include the upgrading of filters, boilers, digesters and existing lines. There will also be a one million gallon equalization basin and a odor control system.
