COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Bond for a Coldwater man was set at $300,000 during his arraignment Thursday in Branch County District Court after he was arrested at a local motel on four drug charges.
36-year-old Gregory Emerlander is facing charges of possession and trying to deliver cocaine and heroin following a Coldwater Police Department investigation.
Police were called to the hotel on Orleans Boulevard early Wednesday morning on a report of an unconscious person. Emerlander refused medical treatment when rescue crews and police arrived.
According to court documents, police found what was described as heroin in Emerlander’s wallet. Police also reported that other alleged drugs were found in the hotel room.
A woman who was with Emerlander, 19-year-old Aryonna Strassman of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, was charged with being in possession of heroin and cocaine. Her bond was set at $50,000.
Both are scheduled to appear for probable cause hearings next Thursday. Preliminary exams were scheduled for February 1, 2017.
