COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to take action Friday on getting quotes to replace an aging county animal control vehicle, as well as a dog box which would come with the vehicle.
The matter was brought forward during Tuesday’s work session after County Administrator Bud Norman said the animal control current vehicle has over 200,000 miles on it.
Animal Control Officer Ernie Baker said the truck was bought 13 years ago and the dog box is five years older.
Baker told commissioners he wants the vehicle to be visible
One estimate by a local car dealership found that repairs would cost about $4,400 which included over $2,700 for labor.
