BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – State Senator Mike Shirkey will be holding a Coffee Hour at La Pachanga Restaurant at 575 East Chicago Street in Bronson Friday morning. Shirkey will be available to meet with constituents from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
One item that might be discussed is Daylight Saving Time in the state.
Shirkey got what he called an unbelievable response when he recently sent out a survey concerning Daylight Saving Time in Michigan with 60 percent of nearly 27,000 respondents saying they favor a change.
A bill has been introduced in the House by State Representative Pete Lucido. It got a committee hearing last week but no vote was taken.
