COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -The Women’s Health Fest Committee held its final meeting Wednesday and presented a $5,000 check to Kim Hemker from the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The money is going toward the Coalition’s Swing For the Fence project.
While the Women’s Health Fest has been well attended for over 20 years, organizers announced in March that they were dissolving the original Health Fest committee, making this the last year for the event.
The Women’s Health Fest committee did say they would work with any group that might decide to organize a similar event in the future. As Julie Startos told fellow committee members Wednesday, it’s been a good run.
