THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – A unidentified motorcyclist was killed Thursday night in Three Rivers after fleeing from a traffic stop and crashing into a semitrailer.
Three Rivers Police reports an officer spotted a speeding motorcycle on South Main Street which failed to yield for a traffic control device near West Michigan Avenue at around 10:00 p.m.
The squad car tried to pull over the motorcycle but it ran a stop sign and sped back toward South Main.
The pursuit ended when the motorcycle drove through a red light and smashed into the commercial vehicle. The motorcyclist died at the scene. A name has not been released.
