COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County has been selected for an Energy Services Coalition Award, following the 2016 energy savings project in which boilers, chillers, lighting and other energy related equipment were either upgraded or replaced.
County Administrator Bud Norman says the cost savings for this equipment will eventually pay for the new installation and replacement.
Norman added that through the first eight months of 2017, the County has spent about 36 percent of its total courthouse energy expenditures made in 2016 and at this pace the county will have almost cut its energy expenditure bills in half for the year.
Additionally, the County was recently notified that it was selected for the Energy Services Coalition (ESC) Award.
Coalition Director Dan Mack is scheduled to visit the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session Thursday to discuss the award and congratulate the County on its selection.
