COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County prosecutors have decided to dismiss a case against a woman that was filed in connection with a domestic argument at her Butler Township residence over two weeks ago.
29-year old Torrie Ann Hoard of rural Quincy was scheduled to appear for a preliminary exam in District Court on Thursday but a court spokesperson said the prosecutor’s office has decided to drop the charge of felonious assault with a dangerous weapon.
Michigan State Police said at the time of the incident that a nine millimeter handgun discharged and struck the ceiling during the dispute she had with her 37-year old boyfriend.
Hoard denied she aimed the gun at him.
