BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A domestic disturbance call in the City of Bronson ended peacefully after a brief search for an armed, suicidal subject.
On Saturday, Branch County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of N. Walker Street following reports of a possible domestic dispute.
Before law enforcement arrived on the scene, a 27-year-old male left the home on foot carrying a handgun and making statements indicating he might harm himself.
In response, the Branch County Sheriff’s Department quickly established a secure perimeter around the area to protect the neighborhood.
To assist in locating the armed man, the department deployed its Drone Unit to conduct an aerial search.
After approximately 30 minutes, the male subject voluntarily returned to the residence, where he surrendered to law enforcement and was taken into custody without further incident.
