COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A site plan for Branch County Habitat for Humanity to relocate their ReStore retail operations to the corner of Division and Sherman Streets was approved by the City of Coldwater Planning Commission Monday night.
Habitat’s Ken Fickle said their current location on U.S. 12 east of Coldwater does not fit the needs of their store.
Habitat is proposing a 4,600 square feet commercial building on what is now a vacant lot.
The store sells donated items as a way to raise funds for Habitat’s home construction and ownership activities.
In other business, the Planning Commission turned down a request from Anitom Automation to install a truck drive in order provide easier access to their loading dock because they felt the proposed gravel drive way did not meet city ordinances.
