COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The case of a man who is charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl in June of 2015 has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
23-year old Adam Lee Halsey of Portage is facing two counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct.
The reported victim in the case was 14 years old when the alleged crime happened in Sherwood Township.
Michigan State Police investigated after a complaint was filed by the grandmother of the alleged victim.
Halsey’s bond has been reduced to $35,000 but a no contact order remains in effect on behalf of the alleged assault victim.
A Branch County Circuit Court pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Monday.
