COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Both of the Legg Middle School 8th grade boys basketball teams defeated Harper Creek on Wednesday night while the two seventh grade squads lost.
The 8th grade A team won 60-49 as they improved to 3-0. Brandon Downs scored 17 points and had four steals. Ethan Crabtree had eight points, seven assists and seven rebounds.
The 8th grade B team defeated Harper Creek 55-35. Gavin Budd tossed in 24 points. Kyle Sheppards had seven assists.
The 7th grade A team lost to Harper Creek 37-29. Leading the scoring was Donte Work with 8 points.
The 7th grade B team lost to Harper Creek 35-26. Leading the Cards in scoring was Hamid Abdulla with 20 points. He also led the team in rebounding with twelve.
Both of the Bronson squads lost to the Battle Creek Central. The 8th graders were beaten 65-23. Reagan Mayer led Bronson with 16 points.
The Bronson 7th graders lost 59-31. The Vikings were led by Aden Hathaway with 19 points. Blaine Pish grabbed eight rebounds.
