MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – Both of the Coldwater High School bowling teams defeated Marshall Thursday night at Marshall Lanes.
The Coldwater boys won the two game regular totals 1656-1226. In the baker match, Marshall took the first game 166-163. Coldwater won the second baker game 192-120 for the win and a 5-0 record. High scorers for Coldwater were Brandon Rifenburgh with a 201 and 213 for a 417 series, Alec Keplinger with a 169 and 160 for a 328 series, Dayten Yearling with a 254 and a 400 series, Kai Kinsey with a 164 and a 298 series.
Coldwater varsity girls also won their match in similar fashion. They won the two regular games 1583-1163. They lost the first baker game 155-139, forcing them to win the second baker 238-106 to bring their record to 5-0. High scorers for Coldwater were Noella Keplinger with a 228 and 164 for a 392 series, Alysia VanWormer with a 201 and a 345 series. Samantha Youse threw a 178 game, Allison Caswell rolled a 181 game.
The Coldwater JV girls bowled unopposed. High scorers were Hannah Furney with a 169 and a 150 for a 319 series, Sabrina VanAuker rolled a 207 for a 355 series, Cassie Pokorny had a 169, Ashley Mobley bowed a 157, Jilliane Combs had a 144, Bree Hamm rolled a 151 and Kaydenn Sunday had a 135 game.
