PARMA, MI (WTVB) – Both of the Coldwater High School basketball teams will continue their pursuit for Interstate 8 championships this evening at Parma Western.
The 10th ranked Lady Cardinals are 13-1 overall and 7-1 in the conference. They are tied with Jackson Northwest for first place in the I-8. Northwest is still the only team to beat the Cardinals this season. Pennfield is one game back of Northwest and Coldwater. Parma is 1-7 in the I-8 and 4-10 overall.
First place in the Interstate 8 will be on the line in the boys game. Coldwater has won 10 straight. The Cardinals are 11-1 overall and in first place in the I-8 with an 8-1 conference record. They defeated Parma 62-44 on December 15th at the Floyd Eby Gymnasium which is the Panthers only loss in the conference. Parma is a half game back of the Cardinals at 7-1 with Marshall in third at 6-2.

JV Boys— Parma Western 43, Coldwater 35 (Tyler Scherer led Coldwater with 20 points and 14 rebounds).
JV Girls— Parma Western 62, Coldwater 47 (Mia Rzepka led the Cardinals with 21 points which included five three pointers and seven rebounds).
Freshman Girls— Parma Western 35, Coldwater 31 (Alyssa Bach and Marissa Cox both scored seven points while Cox had eight rebounds for the Cardinals.)
