COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved the introduction of a draft agreement between the city and Spire Development Monday night for the sale of the Milnes parking lot, which would be the site of a proposed 50 unit apartment development.
A Special Land Use application and a site plan is scheduled to come before the Coldwater Planning Commission next Monday. City Manager Keith Baker explained the purchase price is $1 also means the city will receive a reconstructed parking, with the work financed by Spire Development.
One of the contingencies is that the developers have to get funding from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. An application has to be submitted by April 2nd. Final action by the City Council is scheduled for March 26, 2018.
