COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A couple from Sherwood waived their Branch County District Court preliminary exams that were scheduled for Tuesday on numerous charges that were filed for alleged sex crimes involving a 14-year-old girl.
32-year-old Clyde Black and his 36-year-old wife Katrina are scheduled to appear for Circuit Court pre-trial conferences March 12, 2018.
Clyde Black has been charged with four counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct. Katrina Black has been charged with two counts of first degree C.S.C. as well as charges of second degree child abuse and accosting a child for immoral purposes.
According to court documents, the Blacks were arrested following a Michigan State Police investigation into accusations they allegedly tried to teach sex education to the girl in the case.
Bond for Clyde Black is $400,000 while a $250,000 bond has been set for Katrina Black.
