QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy Baseball and Softball Association t-ball teams took part of a very special game recently in hopes of bringing awareness and inclusion to autism.
Wilson baseball released “Love The Moment” gear through Autism Speaks.
Q.B.S.A. President Andy Craig said they purchased the bats for t-ball this year and plan to expand across the league next year.
Local sponsors provided each ball player and coach with a “Love The Moment” shirt to play in and keep.
Craig’s parents ran the Q.B.S.A. for 15 years and he says, “their philosophy was every kid deserves to play ball. Those are my feelings too”
Craig said autism is part of his family and community and “to be able to bring awareness and inclusion and hopefully remove the stigma that often comes with being different means a lot to me.”
