BOYNE MOUNTAIN, MI (WTVB) – Cindy Clevenger of Clemens Food Group in Coldwater last week was named Michigan Water Environment Association Industrial Waste Professional of the Year. The award was presented at the association’s 94th annual meeting at Boyne Mountain Resort.
Established in 1925, the Michigan Water Environment Association is an organization of water quality professionals who are recognized as authorities on and advocates for preserving, restoring, and enhancing Michigan’s water resources.
MWEA is a member association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) an international organization with more than 100,000 water quality professionals from 79 Member Associations in 32 countries.
The Clemens Food Group opened its processing facility in Coldwater in 2017. It has the capacity to process 10,000 hogs a day in the 600,000-square-foot plant.
