BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Sheriff John Pollack told the Bronson City Council Monday night that the rash of holiday weekend vehicle break-ins and stolen vehicles covers several counties and may extend down to Indiana.
He says the reports started in Calhoun County before spreading to Branch and St. Joseph counties.
Pollack says his department recovered a stolen car on Monday from Fort Wayne.
He is urging residents to get vehicles locked up, take valuable possessions out of them and bring them up close to the house.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department reported a series of vehicle break-ins as well as five stolen vehicles from Bronson, Matteson and Sherwood Townships Saturday night and Sunday morning.
